About our school

 

High School Jelkovec is an upper secondary vocational school (ISCED 3) situated in Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia.

 

The school provides education for students between the ages 15 and 19 in the following fields of study:

 

  • Computing
  • Electronics
  • Electrical Engineering

 

Vocational skills are acquired through practical training and exercises. Practical training and exercises are carried out in school workshops and laboratories, which are equipped with professional equipment.

 

General subjects include: Croatian language and literature, foreign languages (English or German), Maths, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Geography, Civics and Economy, religious education/ Ethics and P.E.

 

After graduating from High School Jelkovec students can enter the labour market or take the state matura exam and continue their education at higher education institutions (usually technical college programmes).

 

High School Jelkovec has been an active participant in Erasmus+ programmes since 2020, having completed one KA2 and two KA1 projects in the field of school education.

 

In 2023 the school successfully applied for Erasmus accreditation in the field of vocational education and training.
